Michelle Rolfe
Michelle combines her work as Producer for Birds of Paradise Theatre Company with her own independent projects. She focuses her career on increasing access for audience members and arts professionals alike. As Producer at BOP she ensures the smooth running of day to day activities and communications for productions. She also delivers training on Disability Equality and Creative Access within a UK & international setting. Independently Michelle is working on a project creating inclusive and accessible populist theatre, which has been supported by National Theatre of Scotland and Federation of Scottish Theatre. She is also an active committee member of Stage Sight. Michelle’s previous work has included working within producing, programming, access consultancy, marketing, box office management, sales and stage management. She has worked with several national organisations including Shape Arts, Traverse Theatre, Dundee Rep, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Falkirk Community Trust and Graeae. Michelle holds a BA (hons) from Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance and a PGCert from Queen Margaret University.
Outside BOP Michelle mainly works as a Producer and Access Coordinator or Consultant. Her passion for access extends to her home life where she lives with her husband and their two blind cats.
Michelle joined BOP in 2017.
